Anyone worked with Maker Studios?

I've been looking into them as a network, knowing big name people like Jesse Cox was part of them. But I don't know what they actually do or how it all works. Does anyone have any insight into how exactly a network... well... works? Does anyone also have any experience with Maker?
 
Since you mentioned Jesse Cox, I think it would be helpful to know that he left Maker on far from great terms. Him and AngryJoe both had a very public feud with them over what I believe involved them taking down videos with no warning and no contact after the fact. I know other YouTubers have taken issue with their practices as well. I would look into it more seriously if you are considering signing with them.
 
forget joining MCN until your much much bigger, if your a small youtuber they will do nothing for you, they have no incentive too because you don't make them any money

oh dang. well then... on to search for a better network then haha you wouldn't happen to know of any that would at least give some general direction, would you?

I would say from everything I've seen and heard, everyone says that Curse is the best MCN for gaming channels, their profit split is basically unrivaled in that market with a 90-10 split, plus I hear the customer support is fantastic.

MCN's only work for larger channels. why? because those channels are making them money and therefore they will put work and effort into helping them. why would they put time and effort (money) in to helping a tiny channel when they won't earn anything? as even with help it takes years to make a channel actually earn some money
