Advertising Your Show?

Hey everyone, I have a question about advertising. I'm not sure where this goes in the forum. As an entrepreneur, I feel strongly about the adage, "It takes money to make money." I launched a small ad campaign with YouTube and Facebook. I'm very curious if it will produce results.

Does any one have experience with advertising your content on social media outlets like these? If so, what was your experience? Were your results expected?

In my experience, Facebook and YouTube regular ad units aren't particularly helpful. A well-made video pre-roll would probably bring in stuff though

ive tried google adwods, but dont think it was worth it, £10 got me like 300 views or something, not really worth it, so wont be using it again, better of just saving the money on advertising to buy equipment and stuff
