Adsense vs Paid Sponsors- Which makes more sense for generating revenue?

Hey YT creators...

Been doing some calculating. It got me thinking which way of advertising could generate more revenue?

Stating the obvious, adsense comes down to if viewers click on ads. Depending on a channel's ad-click rate it may make more sense to leave videos monetized rather than have a sponsor pay to directly advertise in a video. It most likely comes down to what you earn from adsense vs what the sponsor pays. For example if you have a really high ad click rate (or a lot of 1m view videos, it would most likely make sense to monetize without a direct ad since there is a high probability an ad will be clicked on

Curious to hear other stories about this since I know YouTube does not allow videos to be monetized if there is a direct sponsor in the video

This is something I am also wondering about. As far as I can figure by speculation... Adsense will make the most sense for very viral videos. Anything that will have HIGH views, will benefit most from ads. If you have a consistent subscriber base, it would stand that sponsors to whom you can better target will pay more.
