Adsence? whats the deal?

I've Got It
So I'm at the point now where I don't want to make money of youtube or pester my viewers with ads but i would like to know more about what YouTube offers. I know all about MCN's but i haven't heard much about Adsence and was wondering what benefits it offers? Do you have to sign a contract for a certain amount of time?

I'm not going to put adds on my channel for a LONG time but its good to be in the know,right?
 
There is no lock in with AdSense and YouTube - You simply just create an adsense account and link it to your channel. As soon as you unlink it, then this is fine.

Just don't create an AdMob with the same email address. Many users (including myself in the past) have had trouble linking AdSense and YouTube, when AdMob was also in the mix.

The main advantages of AdSense is that, well, you make money. There really is no other benefit really. I suppose you could look at it in the sense that this money could then be used to pay AdSense back, to promote your videos, but obviously this is not required.

There is also technically no contract - just lengthy T&Cs (which in a way is a contract I suppose). You can always opt out at any time though.

Cheers, It's alot of food for thought. Although paying for the advertisement is a good thought

Thanks for posting this because I've got same problem!

My AdMob Account is connected with AdSense account and they are both on the same email address. I've created AdMob and AdSense accounts about a year ago and few days ago I've try to connect/link my youtube account to AdSense and I can't do it. My youtube account is on the other email address than my AdMob and AdSence accounts and I've created youtube channel like 6 months ago.

On my youtube account monetization is marked red and when I try to relink it to my AdSense account it tells me that "this AdSense account is not Active or it is in pending". When I log in to my AdSense account everything is clean and I don't have any strikes or errors.
And my youtube account is also clean, no strikes, everything is green except monetization which is connected with AdSense account which I can't relink. Before I've try to link it monetization was marked green also.

I am DESPERATE! I dont know how to solve this problem.
Please tell me how did You solve your problem and how did you unlink AdMob from AdSense at first place.
