Would using a music track which has been used on other channels but is copyright safe trigger a strike?

I'm sure other people have used some of Kevin McLeod's amazing royalty free music, but would this trigger a copyright claim if someone else has used a track and monetized their video with that track in it? I have had this happen before with some audio which was claimed by someone who used a public domain (speech) audio in their music track then claimed my speech only video

The answer - as usual with youtube - is "Who knows?!"

They seem to change the way they manage/handle such things regularly and without notice.
