Stats needed to make $3000 per month from adsense (view, subs, partnerships, etc)

I know this is a very broad question, but what's your best guess on how many views per month I need to make $3K per month with adsense?


I have about 7000 subscribers (constantly growing, slowly) and I get about 40K views per month. I'm not making enough from adsense to make a living though, not even close. (I barely make anything). I'm spending more time and money on making my videos than I'm earning from them. I get some itunes sales, but again, not enough to go full time.


Is there anyone on this forum that is doing this full time that can offer me some insight? I want to know (or at least be able to estimate) how much further I need to go to reach my goal of making a living on youtube.

Adsense gives you about 1-2 dollars per 1k views then splits it fifty/fifty so lets say 1 dollar per 1000 views total, thats you would need 3million a month.

If you decide to get full youtube partnership you may only need 250-500k views a month
 
I don't know too much but I know it depends on how many people click on the adverts, but for $3000 a month you are going to need alot more views and subscribers, if you check your social blade stats you might be able to get a rough idea on how you would make this money

Are you sure about this 50/50 split thing? The reason I haven't partnered is because I assume I'm getting 100% (or whatever). If a network offers me 80/20 is that 80/20 of the adsense 50/50 split or genuine 80/20? All this partnering stuff is very confusing.
 
I made £2,200 from 2.5 million views from a viral video (1.5m views were monetized) last year and my CPM at the time averaged at £2/$3.25. Ps £2,200 is $3,570.

It's 55% you receive under Monetization (Adsense) and Networks also have to share 50% of everything their partners earn to youtube then the split (80/20 etc) so you are still better off on your own.

Yep I`m sure and P.S. YouTube also take that from partners before the network also takes a split :)

When your partnered they just take a bit less !

You are so lucky :O

Thats so much money to make from a video.

And some people make videos that get millions of views within a day or 2 of posting :| lucky ppls
