Not Advertiser-Friendly! That tha?!

Jacob Alsobrook

Yes, I have pants. Do I wear them? No.
So recently (Two days ago) You tube sent me an email that went a little something like this...

"Thanks for submitting your video "Nerf Battle 2" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVe94cRWlvk) for monetization. We did not approve this video for monetization because the content in your video and/or the metadata may not be advertiser-friendly.
Please note that YouTube reserves the right to make the final decision whether to monetize a video, and we may disable monetization for partners who repeatedly submit ineligible videos.
As next steps, please read our Community Guidelines before enabling another video for monetization.
Thanks,
The YouTube Team"

...Ok, what does that supposed to mean!? I am extremely ticked off by this because they don't tell me what part!? The entire thing has no inapropro content at all... The weird part is is that I uploaded this literally like a month or two ago... VERY strange, If any one could help me out that would be great.

I am pretty sure that a no one actually watched your video when it was reviewed for monetization. The software that checks goes by brightness and quality I have heard. So if your video is bright and professional looking (nice camera looks like it could be on TV) then it will not approve the video. This is one of the reasons adsense sucks imo. Plus they have been known to terminate accounts for "invalid clicks" ALL the time with out explaining it anymore. I would try and join a network so you didn't have to worry about this. Oh and once you get a video that was disabled by adsense you can never claim it when you become a partner...or even worse if you get your adsense banned you can never become a partner with that channel.

This is pretty much the full reason I have stopped monetising any videos, I don't make anything off them cause its CPC, plus it can seriously damage my channel :/

Found the video innocent enough... it wasn't too serious, had nice comedic elements, and we like that you're making videos with your family! Nicely done!

That said, it's probably the "kids with guns" / "home invasion" theme. Also, can't discount the backpack... makes everyone think "school" + guns... which is a sensitive topic for obvious reasons.

The only other thing we can think of is a trademark in the title (unlikely, but possible) or your keywords. We can't see your keywords, so post the all of them here is you'd like feedback on that.

The shooting thing was my first thought, but there are worse videos out there, oh well. Thanks anyways...

I had numerous videos rejected for monetization when I was with adsense. When I joined a network all those videos became monetized.
