does the PAYOUT get LOST on closed bank accounts?

so this month I looked at which account the payout was scheduled to transfer to (just moved across the country, so I closed a few accounts) and the account I have the payment saved to has been closed. I fporgot to add another one, but my adsense page still has the old closed one listed to pay out too. does it bounce back to my adsense account? anyone else as absent minded as me?
 
I don't use adsense but does it automatically pay out? You should log in on adsense and see how much you made in the past few months and if any money disappeared from your account.
 
No firsthand experience with this, but our guess is it will show up back in your AdSense account.

Google for "adsense closed bank account" and you'll get some good results. (we would direct link, but don't have enough posts yet, sorry!)

The first 2 results are Google support threads and say the test deposit could fail on closed accounts. (which indicates a "bounce" will happen)

The 3rd result is a Google product forum thread and has the same opinion as us.
